Sarmassa is a vineyard facing South-East, on the side of a steep hill in the village of Barolo. The soil is limy-calcareous, very compact, and is able to give the wine an exceptional structure, characterized by a high concentration of minerals and trace elements. The presence of stones, associated with clay, limits the vegetation of the Nebbio-lo vine and allows the vines to be readily affected by climatic variations, favoring the perfect ripening of the grapes. A very structured Barolo, with balsamic notes, tannic and particularly long-aging.
