The heart of the Fontanafredda M.G.A. is home to Fontanafredda’s most representative and historical vineyard. Planted by request of Rosa Vercellana, after whom it is named, it is no mere coincidence that this strip of land, rich in sand, limestone and the characteristic blue marl of Serralunga, is filled with floral scents reminiscent of roses. A deep, long and warm Barolo. The M.G.A. that gives its name to Fontanafredda, an amphitheatre of vineyards which are part of the 181 M.G.A.s that make up Barolo. We are at the entrance to the municipality of Serralunga d’Alba, unique in terms of finesse and elegance. Grape variety: Nebbiolo. Training system: Guyot. Surface area: 14.78 ha.
